Pogue Mahone Farm is a Maryland Licensed Boarding Facility located on 160 acres of lush farmland in Jefferson, MD. Just minutes away from Frederick, MD , close to Leesburg, VA and Charles Town, WV. An older farm that offers much history and charm not found at many current equestrian places. The farm is secluded, away from major roads with very little to no noise which is a perfect environment for any horse. The owners are working hard to improve and update the farm while still maintaining many of the traditional barn structures. Pogue Mahone Farm is now offering full care field board to a limited amount of clients. Your horse will receive excellent care as he/she enjoys their freedom. The pastures are a lush grass mix with three board fencing and large run-in shelters. Stalls are also available for emergencies or special situations. This is an ideal situation for your beloved retiree or a  special needs horse. The owner specializes in the care of older horses and their nutritional requirements and is more than happy to take in these special horses.

Pogue Mahone Farm offers a small outdoor and a large 100X200 blue stone footing outdoor riding ring. The farm also offers many open fields for trail riding. The farm is close to the C&O Canal, Morven Park Equestrian Center, and soon to be completed Woodstock Equestrian Park.

The owner is a licensed veterinary technician who worked at an exclusively equine emergency medical practice.   She has extensive experience with colic, foaling, and other medical emergencies.
